The Gris Gris

Used for attracting good fortune or warding off evil, gris gris (pronounced gree-gree) are talismans originating in West Africa and also found in New Orleans. Serve this very floral cocktail with a deep purple hue and let your guests wonder how you do the voodoo that you do.

GET IT

• 1 ounce creme de violet
• 1 ounce St. Germaine
• 1 ounce grapefruit juice
• 2 ounces gin
• 3 dashes lavender bitters
  
• Ice

MAKE IT

Pour all ingredients into a pitcher. Add ice and stir. Pour into chilled martini glass and top with sparkling wine. Serve with an air of mystery.

Serves one.
